Dr. Valencia-Serafini and her family are enthusiastic basketball fans who proudly cheer for the UConn Huskies and their World Cup teams, Peru and Italy.
Dr. Maria Valencia-Serafini earned her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Good Samaritan University Hospital and NYU Langone Hospital (Winthrop Hospital). Board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics, she provides compassionate care focused on newborn health, breastfeeding, asthma, obesity, and early childhood wellness. Dr. Valencia-Serafini believes in creating a child-friendly environment where families feel heard, respected, and supported through open communication. Fluent in Spanish, she enjoys traveling, reading, volunteering at her church, and spending time with her husband and two children.
