Joseph King

Joseph W. King III, MD FACOG joined Premier Community HealthCare Group, Inc. as the Chief Medical Officer in 2014. Dr. King is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and has practiced medicine for more than thirty years. After earning his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, and completing residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Saint John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, Dr. King was a medical provider in Alabama, Georgia, and Oklahoma during the past three decades. Prior to joining Premier Community HealthCare, Dr. King practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mercy Health Systems in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

As the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. King primarily focuses on the impact of the healthcare reform by increasing services and improving an array of clinical measures. He also dedicates his focus to strengthen the business model and streamline procedures to improve patient services. Dr. King has a deep commitment to continuous quality improvements that align with the growing and evolving changes in healthcare overall. He excels at collaborating with other practitioners and clinical/support staff to develop strategies that improve processes and ensure the delivery of high quality, compassionate and comprehensive healthcare services to all patients. Dr. King is responsible for clinical leadership, which consists of 35 highly qualified clinicians who care for more than 31,000 patients through 110,000 encounters at ten health center locations throughout Pasco and Hernando Counties in Florida. He is a progressive and collaborative thinker committed to the Patient Centered Medical Home model.
