Jose Peralta

Jose Peralta, DDS joined Premier Community HealthCare Group, Inc. as the Dental Director in 2015 and was promoted to Associate Medical Director in 2016. Dr. Peralta has practiced dentistry for more than twenty years. After earning his Doctor of Dentistry at the University of New York’s College of Dentistry, Peralta moved to Florida and completed his Residency at the University of Miami and its teaching facility, Jackson Memorial Hospital. Prior to joining Premier Community HealthCare, Dr. Peralta practiced dentistry for a private practice in Central Florida. Concurrently, Dr. Peralta serves as a Major in the Army Reserve Dental Corps and proudly served our country through the United States Army during deployment to the Middle East and Europe.

As the Dental Director, Dr. Peralta is focused on reducing oral health disparities, increasing oral health services, and improving access to care for Pasco’s neediest population. He also intends to focus on the business model to improve medical/dental integration as well as streamline procedures to improve patient services. Dr. Peralta has a deep commitment to quality care and continuous quality improvements that align with the growing and evolving changes in oral healthcare overall. He excels at collaborating with other practitioners and clinical/support staff to develop strategies that improve processes and ensure the delivery of high quality, compassionate, and comprehensive oral health services to all patients. Dr. Peralta’s staff leadership responsibility includes the dental department and overseeing the patient experience initiative. The Dental team consists of nine highly-qualified oral health practitioners who care for nearly 7,400 patients and provide approximately 17,800 visits. He is a progressive and collaborative thinker committed to ensuring the low-income and uninsured population achieve optimal oral health in an integrated manner with other comprehensive primary care services.
